Mountain Treks are combined with a stay on a houseboat and can be tailored to suit individual requirements. They can vary from a one-day trek with no camping, to an eight-day (or longer) round-trip trek, with all variations in between. Depending on the length of your trek, you will travel safely over passes of between 4,000 and 5,000 metres and will usually camp at about 3,500 metres.

We can promise you a unique experience when we take you pony trekking and camping in the Himalayas. Apart from the ponies you'll be riding, you'll be accompanied by an entourage of pack-ponies, pony-wallahs (pony-men), a cook and a guide.

Our pony-wallahs have a lifetime of experience and know how best to help you in every situation. With their sure-footed and sturdy ponies you will be well looked after and no previous riding experience is necessary. We provide comfortable, Mughal-style tents and warm sleeping bags and blankets, and our pony-wallahs will pitch and strike camp whilst you relax and take in the pure mountain air and glorious scenery. Our cook will surprise you with his delicious meals and should you wish to fish on trek, he will prepare your catch of freshwater trout.

A Water Trek in the Kashmir Valley

Travel by Mughal-style shikara from Lake Nagin to Lake Manasbal and back again. By day you will travel along canals and waterways with stops along the way. At night, you will camp in tents on shore. Accompanied by four paddlers, a cook and a guide you are well looked after.

This is a special and truly relaxing way to see our beautiful Valley. As with our mountain treks we are more than happy to work out a tailor-made trip for you.
